Who I am and what I do
My mission is to get to know you, what lies behind your condition and to understand the Chinese medicine interpretation of your problem. I offer dedicated treatments which focus on bringing tangible results as quickly as possible and enacting real change. I have a range of experience treating patients for low mood, anxiety, aches and pains, to support during fertility treatment, during menopause, a range of menstrual issues, sports injuries as well as for general wellbeing. I find that patients often find acupuncture to be a very supportive treatment and report that they feel "more like myself again", or feel "like I'm in better balance"; and may continue to have treatment at regular intervals. I believe that patients don't necessarily have to have something "wrong" to have treatment with me, as the principles of Chinese medicine are holistic and aim to treat the whole person and bring the mind, body and spirit into better alignment.
I am a dedicated practitioner of classical Chinese acupuncture. I have a background in tuina bodywork and massage, having studied at the Middlesex School of Complementary Medicine, online with the Association of Traditional Studies and with Yuji Yuseminars. I practise warm-handed acupuncture and tuina bodywork to bring about real change and improvement for you. I am experienced in treating the emotional side of medicine with delicate acupuncture techniques and hold a Licentiate in Acupuncture and BSc (Hons) Acupuncture at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine with First Class Honours.
I am the President of the Kingston University Chinese Medicine Society, an association of students and graduates dedicated to the promotion and study of Chinese Medicine theory and practice. I sit on the Student Services Advisory Group for the British Acupuncture Council.
I am fully insured and a member of the Complementary Therapist Association, the British Acupuncture Council and the British Medical Acupuncture Society and abide by their Codes of Practice. I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council Regional Group in Exeter.
